Speargun Skins
What is application like?
Our state-of-the-art material makes application easy. Each pack comes with instructions, but here are the basic steps:
1) Cut decal to length
2) Wet speargun surface with soapy water so you can easily adjust the decal and wipe out bubbles
3) Adjust decal along the barrel using fingers
4) Allow decal to dry
5) Trim away extra material, as needed
You'll find that, like working on your own car, spending some good ole' quality time with your speargun is a great bonding experience. Which is good because, after all, when you're sitting on the bottom of the ocean, who's the only guy keeping you company?
Will these skins fit my barrel diameter and shape?
The short answer is yes. ReefRunner Speargun Skins are universal, fitting all spearguns on the market. This includes everything from small diameter barrels, rail guns, oval barrels, and rectangular wood barrels. Some smaller diameter guns will have a slight overlap at the top of the barrel while oval and rectangular wooden barrels will have a slight gap at the top of the barrel.
Can I remove them?
You may remove the skins by peeling up an edge and pulling off. The decal typically comes off in one piece. There will be no decal residue left on the barrel surface. Your barrel will be in the same condition as it was before applying the decal.
Will these skins work with my old, scratched up gear?
Yes, in fact, ReefRunner skins create a nice facelift to your old gear. Why spend hundreds on new fins or gun when you can upgrade your gear with a set of our kick-ass skins?
Can you apply them over existing decals and stickers?
Yes. You can apply over any decal or sticker, even full length barrel stickers. We even recommend leaving the old decals and stickers on your gun.
Fin Skins
What is application like?
Our state-of-the-art material makes application easy. Each pack comes with instructions, and we have a nice installation video, but here are the basic steps:
1) Wet fin skin surface with soapy water so you can easily adjust the decal and wipe out bubbles
2) Adjust decal so it's centered on the fin (soapy water allows you to move the decal around the surface with easy until its dry)
3) Swipe out bubbles with a credit card
4) Trim away extra material
How do I know if ReefRunner Fin Skins are compatible with my fins/blades?
Fin Skins adhere to all carbon fiber and fiberglass blades (other than DiveR blades due to their irregular texture). Fin skins also adhere to plastic blades but, depending on the surface features, may require additional application effort. If you have plastic fins, you'll need to ensure there are no open voids which could allow water underneath the skin. If you have questions about your plastic fins, feel free to send us an email and we can provide guidance on where extra cuts may be needed.
Will the skins cover both sides of both blades?
No. Fin Skins come in packs of two and will cover either the tops or the bottoms of your blades.
Will the skins cover my entire blade?
Fin Skins will cover an area of up to 29" long and 8" wide. This covers the vast majority of blades on the market. If you have longer blades, we offer a "Long" fin skin option which covers an area up to 33"x8". You can choose this option when adding fin skins to your cart.

Soft Tips
Why would I use ReefRunner Soft Tips instead free corks, pieces of rubber, etc?
Alright, smart guy, here are some reasons:
1) Soft Tips are easy to put on and easy to take off your shaft or gaff, in contrast to the common struggle associated with pulling of a stubborn piece of rubber tube.
2) Due to their larger size, rectangular shape, grippy material, and bright colors, Soft Tips are difficult to lose compared to the small, commonly used, bits of rubber which are typically lost on the first trip.
3) Soft Tips maintain their snug fit for their entire life. Corks, for instance, lose their fit after on use.
4) Soft Tips are universal, fitting all shaft diameters .25" (6mm) and greater.
With these advantages, we guarantee that ReefRunner Soft Tips will change the way you handle, store, and transport your gear. Your grandfather may be mad that you spent some money, but your mother will appreciate your keen eye for safety!
What diameter shafts do Soft Tips fit?
Soft Tips fit speargun and fishing gaff diameters of 0.25" (~6.5mm) and greater.
Do Soft Tips work with three-pronged spears (paralyzers)?
Yes. Our patented Soft Tips are the only product in the world compatible with straight shafts and three-pronged shafts. Pretty neat, right?
Is there a difference between the Blue, Orange, and Green Soft Tips?
Nope. Just personal preference!
